How To Transfer Your Bilt Points for Maximum Value

  • Bilt has 21 transfer partners, including airlines and hotels.
  • Most partners offer a 1:1 transfer ratio with Bilt.
  • You must transfer a minimum of 2,000 points unless you’re a Silver member (then it’s 1,000).

According to Pew Research, over 120 million people in the U.S. rent their homes. If you’re one of those people, you may also be using Bilt Rewards to earn points from your rent.

Bilt has over 20 transfer partners that allow you to transfer Bilt Points to their loyalty programs directly — and some of them offer immense value for your points.

Bilt Transfer Partners

Bilt Rewards has 21 transfer partners, including 16 airlines and five hotels.

Here’s a breakdown of each and the points transfer ratio from Bilt to the partner program:

All programs currently have a 2,000-point minimum to transfer if you have Blue Status (1,000 points if you have Silver, Gold, or Platinum Bilt Status). All transfers must be done in 1,000-point increments.

But with some transfers, you’ll receive less than 2,000 miles when you transfer to a partner. For example, ALL – Accor Live Limitless has a 3:2 transfer ratio — which means if you transfer 2,000 Bilt Points, you’ll receive 1,333 ALL points in your account.

While most transfers are instant, it may take a day or two for the points or miles to appear in your loyalty program account.

Best Bilt Transfer Partner Values

Bilt has (ahem…) built a robust list of quality transfer partners for points. There are several top-tier airline and hotel partners to choose from that can offer you high value for your points.

In general, the best Bilt travel partners can get more than 1 cent per point (cpp) when you redeem your points for travel.

Here are a few of the best Bilt transfer partners:

Virgin Red

Virgin Red® points are part of the Virgin Group loyalty program and can be used for flights on Virgin Airlines (and other travel).

In addition to great international flight deals from the U.S. to Europe, Virgin Red points can be used on select Virgin Voyages cruises. These adults-only cruises boast high-rated food and entertainment — and sometimes there are amazing deals you can book with points.

For example, in the past, Virgin offered a 5-night Bahamas cruise (for two passengers) for only 80,000 Virgin Red points. This cruise starts at $2,000, making this point value worth 2.5 cpp.

Alaska Airlines

No other credit card loyalty program can transfer to Alaska Airlines' Atmos™ Rewards, making Bilt the sole rewards program with the privilege.

Alaska offers great deals on flights booked with Atmos points, especially if you live on the West Coast (WA, OR, CA).

For example, I found an Alaska Airlines flight from San Francisco to Hawaii for only 10,000 points. That same flight in cash was $214 — giving you a value of over 2 cpp.

World of Hyatt

There are some great hotel partners that you can transfer Bilt Points to, but the most valuable has to be the World of Hyatt program

While popular programs like Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors have tons of properties around the world, you usually need a lot of points per night to book a hotel. World of Hyatt has high-quality hotels in great locations that cost nearly half the points of other hotel programs.

For example, you can book the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme for only 40,000 World of Hyatt Points per night — or a whopping $1,600 per night! This gives you a value of 4 cpp, or nearly double other loyalty programs.

How To Earn Bilt Points

The Bilt Rewards program allows you to earn points for paying your rent.

You can pay through Bilt's own payment portal, which allows ACH and credit card payments (that could be with the Bilt Mastercard® or even a non-Bilt credit card), or via check, Venmo, or PayPal.

You'll earn:

  • 1 point per $1 spent on rent paid with the Bilt Mastercard (up to 100,000 points each calendar year)
  • 1 point per $2 spent on rent paid through the Bilt app or website with a non-Bilt card

Since rent is usually one of the largest monthly expenses for most renters, this can add up to tens of thousands of points earned per year.

And Bilt allows you to earn bonus points by linking other accounts and cards, such as your Lyft account, Rakuten account, or adding any credit card to your Bilt app wallet.

For example, Bilt has partnered with Alaska Airlines and United to give you bonus Atmos points and United® MileagePlus® Miles when you link your Bilt account with one of the airlines' co-branded credit cards to pay your rent:

The Bilt Mastercard also offers bonus rewards for spending in certain categories, such as travel and dining.

Bilt requires a minimum of five transactions per month on the Bilt Mastercard to earn points.

Note: The ability to apply for a Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard was discontinued on November 5, 2025, and will be replaced by Bilt Card 2.0 on February 7, 2026. Existing cardholders can continue using their Bilt Mastercard through then and will be able to choose from three new card options, subject to approval via a soft credit pull. All points and Bilt membership remain the same.

How To Transfer Bilt Points to Travel Partners

Once you’ve earned some Bilt Points, you can transfer them to a partner program.

Here’s how it works:

1. Connect the partner program in the Bilt app

You’ll first need to connect your partner program to the Bilt app.

Open the “Rewards” menu in the Bilt app (or website) and choose “Transfers.” Choose which partner program you want to transfer to, and how many miles you wish to transfer.

You’ll then be prompted to connect to the partner loyalty program to the Bilt app (usually with your partner loyalty program ID).

2. Choose how many points to transfer

Once enrolled, you can choose how many points you wish to transfer. It’s best to research how many points or miles you need for your upcoming travel booking, then only transfer the amount over that you need.

You can choose an amount over 2,000 miles to transfer over, but it must be in increments of 1,000 miles at a time.

Important: You need a minimum of 2,000 miles to transfer to any partner as a “Blue” member, but that minimum drops to 1,000 as a “Silver” member or higher.

3. Execute your transfer

Once you’ve selected the exact amount of points you wish to transfer, you’ll need to agree to the terms and confirm your selection.

Once you see the “Success” message on-screen, your transfer was executed.

Important: Partner transfers are irreversible. Double- and triple-check your transfer details before executing the transfer so you don’t lose your miles!

4. Check your partner loyalty program for points

Even though the transfer was executed on the Bilt app, it doesn’t mean it instantly arrives into the partner program.

In most cases, you should see the miles arrive within a few minutes. But some programs can take up to 48 hours (or more). So, you’ll want to log into your loyalty partner program and check if the miles have arrived.

Bilt recommends allowing up to 72 hours for transfers to Southwest Airlines.

5. Redeem your points/miles

Once the miles have landed in your account, you can redeem them through your loyalty program.

This means searching and booking award flights or hotel nights through the partner program directly.

You may have to pay some fees for the booking.

FAQs

When is it worth transferring Bilt Points?

While Bilt Points can be used for gift cards and other redemptions, you’ll usually get more value by transferring to certain partner programs.

It’s only worth it if you can get a value of more than 1 cent per point (cpp) through a partner program booking.

Do Bilt Points expire?

Bilt Points don’t expire as long as your Bilt account remains open and active. If your Bilt account becomes inactive or is closed, you will immediately lose all of your accumulated Bilt Points.

Is there a limit to how many Bilt Points I can transfer?

There is no stated transfer limit on Bilt Points to partner programs.

TL;DR: Transferring Your Bilt Points

Bilt Rewards lets renters earn points on rent payments, which you can then transfer to 21 travel partners, at mostly 1:1 ratios.

The best partners, like Virgin Red, Alaska Airlines, and World of Hyatt, can deliver a value of 2-4 cents per point, making them some of the best options for getting the most out of your Bilt buck.
