Hi, I’m Erika. I'm a lawyer and the most-followed personal finance expert in the world. You might recognize me from my viral tagline, “I read the fine print so you don’t have to!”

I discovered my passion for personal finance after realizing I was drowning in over $200,000 of student debt and needed to take action. I paid off my student loans in under two years and started creating videos on social media to help others learn about personal finance.

I'm also the host of the #1 rated podcast, Erika Taught Me, where every week I invite a new guest who inspires me to share their best personal finance, life, wellness, and/or business advice. 

Why I Created Erika.com

With Erika.com, I wanted to create a space where everyone could find their freedom by taking control of their finances. Learning about investing, managing debt, how to leverage credit cards — and of course, my signature travel hacks! — allows everyone to reach the life they dream of.
